#Lauren LA Tips; "How do I test my new Water-Proof mascara? "

  Usually what I like to do is apply Water Proof Mascara 1 hour before washing my face and then thoroughly wash with lukewarm water. Here's the basic scale I like to go by;
  1. Splotches (Actual pieces of mascara) Under the Eyes; Drying unevenly due to excessive layering or uneven application
       2. Pigment Under and Around the Eyes; Mascara may have a larger than average amount of
          dye if the color starts to hit a very muted gray-black. It could also mean that the mascara
             has not yet dried and has to completely dry throughout the day rather than 15 minutes to
           1 hour.

       3.  Both Splotches and Pigment; Could also be a symbol of taking too long to dry, but if the
            mascara feels and looks dry when feeling your eyelashes in between your fingers (Do NOT
              pull), there's actually a big chance that's it's of these;
  • Cheap
  • Not suitable for swimming and other water activities
  • Has been exposed to heat for too long (Ex; Ordered it off the internet and it sat in the mailbox or outside for over 1 hour.)
  NOTE; Their can be other reasons for Water-Proof Mascara to "bleed" or "cry". This is just what I usually go by when trying out a new mascara that claims to be Water-Proof. Hopes this helps and I'll be blogging more soon! ;)
